Training a horse can be a challenge. Follow along as I train Jessie using Natural Horsemanship principles. Jessie is a Foundation Quarter Horse born in 2000. Most of the what I learned about horses and horsemanship has come from studying Clinton Anderson's Downunder Horsemanship although I've taken several clinics, studied other trainers, and worked with other horses.
Follow along and share our experiences.

More Find the Center
Here's a video from yesterday morning's workout as we tried once again to find the center. I've shortened it considerably for your viewing please (but it's still boring).
Ha! I loved it when you sped it up! All I can see is that you are watching Jessi to much. Look at where you want to go. You did a little bit but I thought you were watching her more. It also looks like she's not keeping her head tipped to the inside of the circle. A little bending refresher might not hurt her.

Are you and Ranae talking? She said the same thing.
Jessie was having a bad day. She didn't want to do anything. Did you see that cheesy backup?
When I went back to the DVD CA said don't worry about the head until they get the concept (which she doesn't quite have yet).
Thanks for the suggestions. We'll keep at it.
