Training a horse can be a challenge. Follow along as I train Jessie using Natural Horsemanship principles. Jessie is a Foundation Quarter Horse born in 2000. Most of the what I learned about horses and horsemanship has come from studying Clinton Anderson's Downunder Horsemanship although I've taken several clinics, studied other trainers, and worked with other horses. Follow along and share our experiences.

Fun with Groundwork
I had told Ranae about our 5:30 am workout and she thought it sounded like fun, but there was no way she was getting up early. When the weather turned unsettled and we weren't sure if we wanted to go for a ride (and risk getting wet), we decided to shoot this little video on creative groundwork. Enjoy!

Nice whack Ranae! I saw some Lucy ears there a few times. ;) That ditch looks like it could be a lot of fun! Nice reverse sidepass John!
That was a nice whack, wasn't it?
Through the magic of the editing room we were able to make the reverse sidepass look good. There was a moment where all three of us were asking why I started that exercise ;>)
